I’m a Cat, But I Don’t Eat Meat!    [25-04-2009] Cats are lovely. They love eating fish, chicken and meat. But surprisingly, in England, there is a cat that never eats meat! His name is Dante. He is 2 years old. Unlike other cats, he doesn’t eat cat food. Instead, he eats fresh fruits and vegetables! His favorite foods are melon, bananas, broccoli and uncooked potatoes. Dante is thought to be the only vegetarian cat in England. Animal experts say cats are meat eaters. They say Dante has a very rare eating habit. “This is really rare. I have never before heard of a cat that does not eat meat. Cats cannot be vegetarian,” said one expert. Dante’s owner Becky Page said she tried to feed him meat, fish and everything else cats usually like. “But he didn’t even touch them. He doesn’t go near anything fatty,” said Becky. “He prefers the things I grow in the garden. He has a very unique appetite.
