 Famous Korean singer/actor
Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) is gaining popularity in the world. He made a
debut as a singer in 2002. Many people loved listening to his songs.
His powerful dance moves also wowed music fans. Later,
he successfully became an actor, too.
Now not only Korean people but also people in many other countries
love him! He became so famous that in 2007, he was selected to be
on the list of 100 Most Influential People by TIME Magazine. Recently, he even had an
interview with CNN.
 Rain
was born on June 25, 1982 in Seoul. As a boy, he loved singing and
dancing. He admired Michael Jackson and
he wanted to become a great singer like Jackson. But he was a shy boy who was not very
good-looking.
So he was rejected at 12 auditions. Nevertheless,
he didn’t give up on his dreams and
finally in 2002, he became
a singer! His songs were loved by so many people in Korea and in many
other Asian countries.
 After becoming
a popular singer, Rain started acting, too. He starred
in famous TV dramas such as “Full House” and “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to
School.” He also made a screen debut with the movie “I’m a Cyborg,
But That’s Okay.” Later, he made a Hollywood debut, too! He played
a supporting role in “Speed
Racer.” Many people were amazed by his excellent acting. Now, he
is playing a leading role in his new film
“Ninja Assassin.”
“Ninja Assassin” was made by world-famous directors and producers. The movie started
shooting in March this year
in Berlin, Germany. It will be released soon worldwide
and there is a lot of action in the movie. Many Rain fans are waiting
for the movie.
Recently, CNN invited Rain to appear on a talk show. During
the interview, he talked about various topics including his career, family, and working
in Hollywood. The interview was aired last Wednesday on CNN and watched
by millions of people all over
