you know who the fastest man in the world
is? I will give you some hints. He is from Kenya. He is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. He can run
100 meters in 9.58 seconds! Isn’t he incredibly fast? Now, can
you guess his name? That’s right.
His name is Usain Bolt.
Recently, he got a very special
pet - a cheetah! The world’s fastest man has adopted the world’s fastest
animal! On November 2, Bolt adopted the 3-month-old cheetah. He named his new pet “Lightning
Bolt.” What a perfect name for the world’s fastest land animal!
So, why did Bolt adopt the cheetah? Lightning Bolt was abandoned by
his mom right after birth. A wild animal care center in
Kenya was taking care of him. Sadly, cheetahs are endangered. Bolt
adopted Lightning Bolt as part of an effort to help
protect cheetahs. He will
raise the cheetah at a zoo
in Kenya. “I decided to adopt the cheetah to let the world know the
importance of protecting
endangered animals and the
environment,” said Bolt.
The world’s fastest man says he is very happy to have a special pet.
He is taking good care of Lightning Bolt. He loves his new pet so
much that he even feeds Lightning Bolt milk
from a bottle. “When Lightning Bolt grows up, he will be able to run faster than
me!” said Bolt with a big smile. |
