many people take taxis because they are
convenient. Most taxi drivers
are very kind and hard-working. Sadly, however,
many taxi drivers in Mexico City are not very nice to female passengers. They often say
unpleasant things to them.
So many women living in Mexico used to complain a lot about taxi
drivers. Now, there’s good news for them.
From now on, women in Mexico
City can take special pink taxis. These special cabs are women-friendly. Only women
can take the pink taxis. The drivers are all women, too! This way,
women passengers can take taxis safely. The pink taxis started
running on November 10. Mexico
City also provides female-only buses and subway
cars during rush hours to protect women.
Besides Mexico, many other
countries in the world also provide a special taxi service for women
only. These special taxis are also available in England, Russia,
Australia, Iran, India, and the United Arab Emirates. In these nations,
the special taxi service is gaining popularity.
