 The
reindeer is one of the traditional symbols of Christmas. As
you all know, the red-nosed Rudolph is a reindeer. Other reindeer
made fun of his red nose and Rudolph felt very sad. But thanks to his bright nose,
he was chosen to pull Santa’s sleigh! Since then, reindeer became
an important part of Christmas.
It’s already December and Christmas is just around the corner. Now
people in New York and all over America are getting ready to celebrate
the jolly holiday. They have
already put up a huge Christmas tree
in the center of the city. You can also see Christmas lights everywhere! Recently, the Christmas spirit of New Yorkers went
up even more. Do you know why?
Last week, a reindeer suddenly appeared in downtown New York! It isn’t
Christmas yet, but the deer decided to have an urban adventure in the city.
No one is quite sure how the wild deer managed to get
into the city. What a big surprise!
The deer created chaos in the busy streets.
And the police and animal protection groups
had to chase the deer for the whole
day! The deer was so fast that they had a hard time catching it. But finally they caught the deer
at the end of the day. Don’t worry, no one was hurt and the deer is safe, too. It will be returned
back to the wild again soon. New Yorkers say it was a pleasant happening and their Christmas
spirit went up thanks to the unexpected visit from the
deer! |
