 Currently, the smallest man in the world
is He Ping Ping of China. He is 20 years old and he is only 72 centimeters
tall. But surprisingly, there is an
even shorter man in Nepal! Who
is he? His name is Khagendra Thapa Magar. He is 17 years old and he
weighs only 4.5 kilograms.
Don’t be surprised. This small
boy stands only 51 centimeters!
The boy is 21 centimeters shorter than the Chinese man. In October
when he turns 18, he will be named
the new smallest man in the world.
When he was born, Khagendra weighed only 600 grams! His parents worried
about him. But he grew up to be a healthy man. Now his parents
are very proud of him. They don’t worry about him anymore.
In fact, he has become the
most famous man in Nepal. He is very famous
in India, too! “I’m very happy
to have the smallest man in the world in my house,” his mother said.
Khagendra’s dream is to be recorded as the world’s
smallest man and visit western countries. “I’m sure
my dreams will come true soon. I want to show off my dancing moves and I can show
people how good I am at karate!” he said with a smile. |
