 Chihuahuas
are very small. They are very cute and smart, too. That is why many
people in the world keep them as pets. In England, there is
a very special Chihuahua. Her name is Lulu and she is 9 months old.
So, why is she so special?
Lulu is the smallest Chihuahua in
the world! She is only 10 centimeters long! Her owner Jean Tindall said that
Lulu might be the smallest dog in the world.
“I’ve been breeding and selling Chihuahuas
for most of my life. I’ve seen a lot of Chihuahuas, but I’ve never
seen one as small as Lulu. She is so tiny that she can fit in my hand,” she said.
When Lulu was born, she was the exact same size as all the others.
“But one day I realized that Lulu was different
from her sisters and brothers.
Puppies grow quickly, but Lulu was not growing like the other puppies.
Now her sisters and brothers are twice as big as her.”
Jean is not going to sell Lulu because she needs so much extra care and attention. “Even though she is small,
she brings a lot of joy and laughter,” said Jean.
“To me, she is priceless. I would never
sell her. She is my little star!” |
