 Recently scientists and doctors
in the U.S. found something very cool. Before I tell you what that
is, let me ask you a question. Do you think learning
English is hard? Sure, it’s not easy learning
a new language. But, do you find it hard to speak or write Korean?
It’s a lot easier because you’ve learned it since you were a baby. And
of course both your parents
use Korean.
So, it came naturally to you. Well, here’s what doctors and scientists
found out in the U.S. They found that a baby’s brain is ready to be bilingual! Believe it or not, a 7-month-old
baby’s brain is like a sponge. When the parents
start speaking two languages to a baby, it will grow up to use two languages
too!
But, here’s the problem. Each parent must
be able to speak the different
languages perfectly! I know it’s far away. But when you become
adults, you guys will have kids too.
Don’t you want your kids to speak two languages? I guess you guys had better
start learning English! |
