 There
is a girl named McKenna McGough living in Dallas in the U.S. She is
now 10 years old. Ever since she was a baby, she
had a hearing problem. So, she
had to always wear hearing aids in her ears.
McKenna knew she was different from others. And she was always embarrassed.
But, all this changed when she recently made a new friend
at an aquarium. Her friend is Winter,
a dolphin that lost her tail in an accident. McKenna spent a lot of time with her animal
friend. When she saw how Winter is still swimming hard without her tail, she decided
not to feel shy or embarrassed anymore.
Winter showed McKenna that being different isn’t so bad.
Now, McKenna is wearing her hearing aids. She has brightened up so
much, and feels good about herself. The young girl says Winter helped
her to not be afraid about being different.
It’s amazing how an animal motivated a young girl! Good work Winter! |
