people keep rabbits as pets at home. They are cute and lovely. They are
also easy to keep because they don¡¯t make a lot of noise. They also

Do you know what a male rabbit is called? It is called a ¡°buck,¡± while a female is

50 kinds of rabbits in the world. Adult rabbits can weigh up to 10 kilograms. Rabbits
have 18 toenails: 4 on each back
foot and 5 on each of the front.
Rabbits
are born without any fur and their eyes don¡¯t open until they are
2 weeks old. Rabbits have about 28 teeth. Their teeth never stop growing. Rabbits can purr like cats. Rabbits are
most active at dawn and dusk. Don¡¯t leave your pet
rabbit in the sun too long. It may suffer from heat stroke.
Rabbits are good jumpers. They can jump about one meter or higher!
The average life span of a rabbit
is about 5 to 10 years. The longest living rabbit lived for 19 years!
Some rabbits have very long ears. The longest recorded ears were 82 centimeters!
