Dress Code for Professors?    [16-10-2009]
Untitled Document
How many of you wear a uniform to school? I am sure there are many of you. But there are still some schools that allow you to wear your own clothes. Unfortunately, when you are in junior high or high school, you must wear uniforms.
However, things are different when you enter university. You are free to wear clothes of your choice. Interestingly, one university in London in England created a dress code. This dress code isn¡¯t for students. It¡¯s for professors! The university believes professors must look sharp.

So, it has asked the professors to wear formal business clothing. This basically means they can¡¯t wear casual clothes like jeans. This isn¡¯t all. All professors must have clean and tidy hair styles. Female professors aren¡¯t allowed to wear too much jewelry! Also, students are often restricted from being too expressive. This special university says they hope all universities in England follow their rule. What do the professors think?
They are planning to ask for a change in the rule. They believe university should be a place where teachers and students both feel free. What do you think about the rule? Is it too strict? I personally think the professors should be given the freedom.
