make a lot of money. Players like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and
Joe Carter are just few of many that have made millions of dollars.
One would imagine that it would be
impossible for such athletes
to go broke. Well, careless spending can make anyone
broke .
Recently, a famous American basketball
player was covered in the news. His name is Antoine Walker. Mr. Walker
made $110 million in 12 years. Sadly, he is now broke. And
he even owes money to many banks.
So, how did this once millionaire become broke?
Let’s just say Walker liked luxury goods. He bought many
cars and expensive watches. But Walker wasn’t
selfish. He supported nearly 70 friends! He loves
people. He gave gifts to his teammates and coaches. He also donated lots of money to
countless charities ever
year. Walker is only 33 years old.
He still has a long career left for him in the
NBA. He can still make money. Let’s hope this time he makes clear
plans before he spends away all his earnings. We can only imagine
of making and spending such large amount of money but he actually did. Isn’t it amazing? |
