Soon, we can even spend the weekend in space! Recently, a construction company in Spain is preparing to build a space hotel. It will open its door in 2012. The first space hotel will be built in orbit 450 km above the Earth. It will hold 4 guests and two astronaut-pilots. It will take a day and a half to reach the hotel. During their stay, guests will see the sun rise 15 times a day and travel around the world every 80 minutes. They will wear space suits so they can crawl around their rooms by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman! If you want to stay at the space hotel, you have to take an 8-week training course on a tropical island in Spain. It will cost 3 million euro ($4.4 million) for a 3-night stay at the hotel. Wow, that’s very expensive.
