I¡¯m sure all of you have seen an elephant. They are usually grey in color. But have you ever seen a white elephant? On June 26, a rare white elephant was caught in Burma! According to news reports in Burma, the elephant is a female. She is about 38 years old and about 2 meters tall.

The female elephant was captured by officials two weeks ago in a coastal town in Burma. The country is excited about the news. This is because white elephants are very rare. They are considered holy in the country. The nickname of the white elephant is ¡°Snow White.¡±

Although they are called white elephants, they are actually light grey or reddish-brown in color. Their skin color turns light pink when wet. They have fair eyelashes and toenails.

Historically and traditionally, kings and leaders in Burma have treasured white elephants. The rare appearance of the elephants is considered a sign of political change and good fortune in the Buddhist country.
