a cold winter day, there’s nothing like a cup of hot chocolate! It
is delicious and warms up your body. So, how much hot chocolate can
you drink? Last Monday, a famous restaurant called Serendipity 3 in New
York City set a world record for the
Largest Cup of Hot Chocolate.
The Guinness Book of World Records announced that the world’s largest
cup of hot chocolate was made in New York City. The cup is more than
100 times the size of a regular serving of hot chocolate!
To make the special hot chocolate, about 6 kilograms of cocoa power,
8 liters of heavy cream, and 454 grams of French chocolate were used.
The restaurant came up with the new menu to celebrate its 55th birthday.
Interestingly, the largest cup of hot chocolate is on the restaurant’s
regular menu!
But it is very expensive. It costs 600 dollars (about 720,000 won)!
Some people order the special hot chocolate
for their parties. Anytime it’s ordered, proceeds go to charities.
If I visit New York, I want to order the hot chocolate and share it with 100 people! |
