From July 20 to 30, the students at Haengdang Elementary School in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, participated in a special English camp.
They could learn English in fun ways at the 10-day-long school camp while enjoying fun activities. The Kids Times paid a visit to the school on July 23 to take a peep into their special camp!

The camp was held to help the students improve their English skills through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
It was also a great chance to experience foreign cultures without having to visit English-speaking countries. Over 120 students took part in the fun camp.

¡°It is very important for children to learn English in order to become global leaders in the global era. I hope this camp will be a wonderful chance for my students to polish their English,¡± said Principal Cho Sang-ryul.

The camp was made up of many exciting programs where the children could learn English from foreign teachers.
The highlight of the camp was the ¡®Special Experience Day.¡¯ The theme was ¡®water¡¯ and the children participated in fun outdoor activities such as ¡®Water Gun Battle,¡¯ ¡®Water Soccer,¡¯ and ¡®Making Red-bean Sherbet.¡¯

All of the programs were conducted in English. While playing fun games and making delicious red-bean sherbet, the students learned many useful words from their teachers. They even had a chance to learn Taekwondo in English!

It was a very special camp for the children at Haengdang Elementary School. They are already waiting for the next year¡¯s summer English camp! Let¡¯s hope the school keeps providing the students with many fun English programs!
