 Dokdo
belongs to Korea. But Japan
keeps insisting that the island
belongs to them. Many Korean people are working hard to let the world
know that Dokdo is our territory. Singer Kim Jang-hoon
is one of them. He even put advertisements about Dokdo
in foreign newspapers, including
The New York Times.
Recently, three middle-aged men decided to
let the world know about Dokdo, too. They formed a band named “Salt
& Pepper” last August. Early this month, they released a very special song
entitled “Do You Know Dokdo”
in English! The song delivers the message that Dokdo is Korean territory
and we love Dokdo very much.
 “We wanted to
let the people all over the world know about Dokdo,” said Jin Yong,
a member of the band, who is a stock expert. “We hope our
music will help do that,” said another member Seok Ho, who is a professor
at Hongik University. “We love Dokdo and we will play music for Dokdo,”
added the last member of the band, Lee Jung-ho, who is a businessman.
Aren’t they amazing? We should tell everyone to listen to this special
song. Let’s hope their music will play an important role in
letting the world know that Dokdo is Korean territory! |
