Many people all over the world enjoy fishing. Catching fish is very thrilling and most anglers dream of catching very large fish. In Britain, there was a legendary big carp that every angler was dying to catch. Aren¡¯t you curious to know what was so special about the fish? Then, keep reading!

The big carp¡¯s nickname was ¡°Two Tone¡± because of its color. It weighed 31 kilograms. In fact, it was Britain¡¯s biggest freshwater fish! Two Tone has been admired by anglers for a long time in Britain. Catching the fish was very hard. The fish was only caught once or twice a year. Some anglers even spent up to 15 years trying to catch it without success.

An angler named Lee Jackson even wrote a book about the fish called Just for the Record: My Quest for Two Tone. Jackson went fishing every week to try to catch Two Tone. It took him six years to finally catch the legendary fish. ¡°Two Tone is a unique creature. There¡¯s no other fish that has ever grown to that size in this country. It was the fish that everyone wanted to catch,¡± he said.

Sadly, no one will be able to catch Two Tone anymore. On August 17, the huge carp was found dead on Conningbrook Lake in England where it lived. It was believed to be about 45 years old. People think that it died from old age. Many anglers are saddened by the news. Two Tone was buried beside Conningbrook Lake last week with a plaque to mark the grave. Even though it is dead, it will be remembered as the biggest carp in Britain. Rest in peace, Two Tone!
