tall are you? Most children want to grow taller. But what if you never stop growing?
How would you feel if you are more than 2 meters tall? Would you feel
good or bad? This week, let’s meet an unusually tall girl from
Brazil named Elisany Silva and hear
what she has to say about her height.
Elisany lives in a small village in the Brazilian
Amazon state of Para. She is 14
years old but she is already 206 centimeters tall! She is about 55
centimeters taller than her friends. To our surprise, she is still
growing! She is suffering from a rare disease that makes her
keep growing.
Due to her extreme height, Elisany’s
daily life isn’t easy. She
has trouble walking around her own house ? she often hits the wood in the ceiling with her head. Because of the height difference, playing or talking
with her friends is not easy, either. Recently, she even had to quit her school because she
cannot fit in the school bus anymore.
 “I want
my daughter to stop growing up. Due to her unusual height, she often
suffers from a headache and muscle pain,” her mother
said. However, Elisany decided to take advantage of her height.
She took interest in modeling. Her dream is becoming
a super model and her dream
is about to come true! Elisany will make
her modeling debut in a fashion show very soon. She will be wearing
wedding dresses at the show.
“Maybe I can be the tallest model in the
world. There are many disadvantages of being too
tall, but I hope to use my height to my advantage. I want to become
a great fashion model!” said Elisany with a bright smile. Good luck with your modeling!
