Recently, a very young British boy came into the spotlight thanks to his brilliant idea. His name is Sam Houghton and he is only five years old. Do you think he is too young to invent something? Well, think again because he did invent something very amazing when he was only three!

Sam was recently chosen as one of Britain¡¯s top 15 ingenious inventors with his cool invention. So, what did the young boy invent? To our surprise, he invented a double-headed broom when he was only three years old!

The young inventor came up with a great idea of making a double-headed broom two years ago while watching his father sweep up garden leaves. His father was trying to clear up larger leaves and twigs as well as finer debris with two brooms.

Sam thought a double-headed broom would help his father collect large debris and fine dust at the same time. That¡¯s how he created the double-headed broom, using a large rubber band to strap the two brooms together. The new broom can be flipped around for different jobs. The broom was granted an official patent and Sam became the youngest Briton yet to hold a patent.

According to the British Library¿µ±¹ ±¹¸³ µµ¼°ü, Sam¡¯s broom is one of the most inspiring inventions of the last 10 years. The broom is now being on display at the library under the theme ¡°Inventing the 21st Century.¡± The exhibition will run for 11 weeks.

¡°I am very impressed by the young boy¡¯s creative idea. I think it is an amazingly inspiring invention,¡± said Steve van Dulken, who is a patent expert. ¡°The fact that someone aged less than four years old could come up with such a neat solution is very impressive,¡± he added.
