There are many twins in the world. In fact, there are many different kinds of twins from identical twins to biovular twins. In rare cases, there are interracial twins! Then, who are the oldest twins in the world and how old are they? If you are curious to know, read on and find out!
The world¡¯s oldest known twins live in Belgium. The twin sisters¡¯ names are Gabrielle Vaudremer and Marie Hendrix. So how old are they? Born on October 2, 1910, they turned 100 years old two weeks ago!
They celebrated their 100th birthday together by eating delicious cream cake. Around 200 people, including their relatives, came to celebrate their special birthday. The twins had a great time with their family members and friends. They received many gifts including shawls and flowers. Their relatives also sang a folk song for them.

However, the twin sisters are not listed in the Guinness World Records. Currently, the Guinness Book lists 98-year-old French sisters as the oldest twins in the world. Records are only recognized by Guinness upon request, but the Belgian twins have not applied with the organization to officially enter their record.
According to their family members, they are humble people and are not seeking excessive media exposure. ¡°They are quiet, humble people. Gabrielle was a hat seller who was very passionate about her craft. Marie was a teacher who was strict but fair,¡± said one of their relatives.
The oldest twins in the world have no children and now they are enjoying their daily lives together at a nursing home in a town called Spa.
Even though they are 100 years old, they never stop having fun. They said that their secret to long life is enjoying healthy food and laughing a lot.
