The sun is very important in our lives. As a matter of fact, we can¡¯t live without it. All living creatures on Earth need the sunlight to survive. Humans, animals, trees, and flowers all receive energy from the sun. The warm sunshine also makes you healthier and happier!

Spring is a great season to enjoy sunbathing. Did you know that your body produces vitamin D if you enjoy the sunshine? This is why the vitamin is called the sunshine vitamin. Researchers at the University of Warwick in England and the Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences in China found that the sunshine can help you live longer by cutting the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

¡°After studying 3,262 people in Beijing and Shanghai in China, we found that the more time you spend in the sun, the more easily your body is able to produce this important vitamin,¡± said Dr. Oscar Franco who led the study.
¡°Vitamin D deficiency is becoming a huge problem across the globe. If you eat right, exercise regularly, and spend more time in the sun, you can live a longer, happier, and healthier life,¡± he added.
