are many powerful people in the world,
who can be our role models. So who is the
most powerful man in the world? According to the Forbes,
one of the most influential magazines in the world, Chinese
President Hu Jintao is the most powerful man on Earth.
On November 3, the magazine released a new list of the
world’s most powerful people. The list includes 68 influential people
from all over the world. This year, the Chinese leader topped the list, showing
China’s growing influence on the global stage. U.S. President
Barack Obama, who was in the top spot last year, has been pushed down
to the No. 2 spot.
 Born in
1942, Mr. Hu became the leader of China in 2003. He is well-known for his harmonious ways of solving
his country’s various economic and social problems. With his
reserved leadership style, China’s
global influence has increased.
The top 10 most powerful people on the list include leaders from Saudi
Arabia, Russia, Germany, the U.K., and India. Italian Prime Minister
Silvio Berlusconi came in at No. 14 and French President Nicolas Sarkozy
is at No. 19.
Many other wonderful people also made it on the list. Most of the
people on the list are over 50 years old. However, the list also includes
some younger influential people such as Google co-founders Sergey Brin and
Larry Page, who are both 37. They took the 22nd place on the list.
The 26-year-old Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg came
in at No. 40. The Dalai Lama came in at No. 39 and UN Secretary General Ban
Ki-moon came in at No. 41. Featured at No. 64 was the talk show queen
Oprah Winfrey. |
