On May 2, British dancers set a new world record for the largest number of people dancing at one time. After six months of training, more than 230 dancers gathered together in the rain in Somerset, England around noon last Sunday to perform an umbrella dance.
Despite the heavy rain, the dancers performed a passionate dance routine to the famous song ¡°Singing in the Rain¡± for five minutes and set a new world record for the world¡¯s largest umbrella dance. The event was organized by the county to bring people together by encouraging the community members to participate in the special dance performance.
¡°It took us over six months to prepare this special activity. We are very happy to break the previous world record. Being a world record holder is fantastic!¡± said James Whitehead, who organized the event. Congratulations to the amazing umbrella dancers!
