fans all over the world are going crazy over the World Cup matches. Some ardent soccer fans have been
watching the World Cup all day long. But how long
can you watch soccer matches for? No matter how much you love soccer,
it’s hard to watch the games for more than 24 hours straight.
However, on June 16, two young sisters living in Australia set a new world record by
watching soccer for 87 hours non-stop! On June 13 at 3
pm, Alanah and Joanne Argyrou sat in front of the television and started
watching soccer-related programs including
the World Cup matches live, documentaries about
football, and the historical parties of the
event.
The amazing sisters competed against three other soccer fanatics. But they
beat them all and broke a
Guinness world record. They only took a five-minute break every hour. The sisters
fell asleep right after the competition, so no one could
ask how they felt about their achievement! Nevertheless
I’m sure they must be very proud of themselves! |
