This year is the Year of the Rabbit. Rabbits are cute and lovely. They are symbols of wisdom and wealth. They also make wonderful pets. In fact, many people keep pet rabbits at home. But do you know what they eat and how long they live for? Read on to learn some interesting facts about rabbits!

Rabbits are plant-eating mammals. They love eating carrots and other plants. But baby rabbits drink their mother¡¯s milk for the first few weeks. They are born without any hair and cannot see or hear, either. A baby rabbit first opens its eyes about two weeks after it is born. Rabbits can live for more than 10 years.

Rabbits are active at night and have excellent night vision. Rabbits have 28 teeth and their teeth continue to grow throughout their entire lives. If a rabbit¡¯s teeth grow too long, it cannot eat and will die. This is why rabbits chew on everything around them to keep their teeth short.

Rabbits eat their own droppings because the droppings contain nutrients that they need to stay healthy. Rabbits are sensitive to heat. They sweat only from the pads of their feet and ears. If a rabbit thumps one or both of its back legs, it means it is angry or frightened.
