Japanese for his studies, he went to Tokyo in 2000.
On January 26, 2001, on his way home, Mr. Lee saw a drunken Japanese man fall onto a subway track at Shin-Okubo
Station in Tokyo. He didn¡¯t hesitate to jump down onto the railway tracks to save the

him in Tokyo to remember his sacrifice. The foundation established a scholarship one year after
his death to support Asian students studying
