There are many amazing artists in the world. Zohreh Etezad Saltaneh is one of them. She was born without arms and hands, but she can paint beautiful pictures with her feet! The amazing artist can also do many other things with her feet. Even though she doesn¡¯t have hands, there¡¯s nothing she can¡¯t do! This week, let¡¯s visit Iran to listen to her story.

The armless artist was born in Tehran, Iran 49 years ago. Living without hands must be very difficult and inconvenient. However, Ms. Saltaneh learned how to live without two hands. Instead of feeling sad and giving up doing wonderful things, she has conquered her disability by learning to use her feet to do the things she wants to do. She can paint, cook, and even send text messages using her feet!

It took more than 40 years for the artist to overcome her disability. Her mother placed a paint brush between her daughter¡¯s toes from an early age, encouraging her to express herself artistically. As a result, she has gained recognition for her artwork.

Despite her disability, she has attracted attention for her art, receiving a number of awards. In fact, her paintings have been shown in around 60 exhibitions around the world! Her artistic talent does not stop at painting - she also weaves Persian carpets using her toes!

¡°I can do my daily chores with great ease - I use my feet to clean the house, cook, and look after my elderly mother. With practice, I can even carry out tasks better than normal people and get a sense of pride,¡± the artist said. ¡°I still struggle with tasks like shopping, but I consider myself no different from other woman,¡± she said.

Her slogan has always been: ¡®being disabled does not mean being restricted.¡¯ ¡°Despite whatever restrictions one may have, it is possible to undertake new skills and learn anything that one wishes. As long as you don¡¯t give up hope, you can do anything!¡± Ms. Saltaneh said with a bright smile.
