On March 16, a Red Tibetan Mastiff puppy became the world’s
most expensive dog after being sold for almost ￡1 million. A Chinese
multi-millionaire bought
the special dog. The dog’s name is Hong Dong and he is 11 months old.
He is still a baby, but he weighs about 82 kilograms.
 Hong Dong
feeds on chicken and beef as well as exotic Chinese delicacies
such as sea cucumber and abalone. Now, a total of
10 people are taking care of the world’s most expensive dog. He even
has his own trainer, vet, and nutritionist!
Tibetan Mastiffs are huge and fierce guard dogs. They are also
called “Lion Dogs” because they look and act like lions. In fact,
they are stronger than wolves! They are also well-known for their
loyalty and braveness.
The dogs are one of the oldest breeds in the world. Legend has it that both Genghis Khan and Lord Buddha kept them. These
