Today, people are living very busy lives and don¡¯t really spend much time at home. But still, home is a very important place for you. According to a recent study, home turned out to be where the heart is. British researchers proved for the first time that people feel the happiest when at home!
Scientists at Cambridge University found in their new study that home is the happiest place for humans. They analyzed people¡¯s emotions and behavior while on the phone to better understand human psychology. ¡°Mobile phones are powerful tools to allow studies of people¡¯s behavior,¡± said Dr. Cecilia Mascolo, who led the study.

In their study, the researchers recorded a group of 18 volunteers¡¯ mobile phone use and their emotions over 10 days. They used special software to track the users¡¯ emotional behavior. By assessing how the volunteers were influenced by their surroundings, the time of day, and their relationships with others, the researchers have reached a conclusion.
They concluded that a person¡¯s location had an apparent effect on his or her state of mind. Almost half of the respondents were found to be the happiest when they were at home or near their houses. On the other hand, 54 percent experienced sad emotions at work.
¡°Even though you get to do the tiresome chores such as cleaning, cooking, and washing the dishes, home turned out to be the place you feel the happiest. We found this simply by monitoring people¡¯s mobile phone use,¡± said Dr. Mascolo. ¡°When you are stressed or sad, go home and take a rest. Then you will feel better soon,¡± she advised.
