Gorillas normally live up to 35 years in the wild. However, they can live longer in captivity. So, how old is the oldest gorilla in the world? Don¡¯t be surprised; it is 54 years old, which is about 100 years in human age! The name of the world¡¯s oldest gorilla is Colo.
She lives at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio, U.S. Born in 1956, Colo was also the first gorilla to be born in captivity. On October 24, the Guinness World Records listed her as the world¡¯s oldest living gorilla.

The previous record holder was a female gorilla named Jenny, who lived at the Dallas Zoo. She died in 2008 at the age of 55. Colo is very healthy for her age. According to her keeper, she enjoys eating healthy food and stays active.
¡°She is old, but very healthy and strong. She will live another few years without any problems!¡± said the keeper. If you want to live a long life, eat healthy food and exercise regularly like Colo!
