People in Western countries usually have long names. Many people have middle names other than their first and last names. For instance, the 35th U.S. President had a long name. His full name was John Fitzgerald Jack Kennedy.
That is quite a long name! However, there is a man in Germany who has a longer name! In fact, he has the longest name in his country! So, what is his name?
It¡¯s Bernd Ottovordemgentschenfelde! It¡¯s very hard to pronounce his last name! The 45-year-old floor tiler says he has a hard time getting his name to fit on official forms.
Therefore, he often has to shorten his last name to ¡®Gentschenfelde.¡¯ On November 8, a name expert from the University of Leipzig in Germany, Judth Schwanke, confirmed that Bernd has the longest name on record-24 letters. It must be hard for his friends to say his full name!
