you know who Oprah Winfrey is? She is a talk show host in the U.S. She became
a legendary “talk show queen”
after overcoming all kinds of hardships. She is also famous
for her generosity.
She often gives away gifts to the people around her. For example,
she gave her 276 audience members new cars
in 2004. Recently, she gave all of her studio audience expensive gifts again! On
November 22, she surprised her 275 audience
members by giving each of them a new car for free. The lucky people
will get 2012 Volkswagen New Beetles!
Winfrey owns a New Beetle herself and she wanted to give the cars
away to her fans on her show. However, they will have to wait until
the end of next year because the new version of the car hasn’t come out yet. The car is
expected to debut in the spring of 2011
and will go on sale in the fall. I
think they can happily wait for their new cars! Let’s hope Winfrey
keeps doing good deeds!
