are many unusual hotels all over the
world. From ice hotels to car hotels, interesting hotels are waiting
for visitors to come and stay. There are even hotels
for animals such as dogs, cats and even fish. Recently, a hotel for
chickens was opened in Cornwall, England. It sounds like a joke, but this place is for real and it is very successful!
The world’s first chicken hotel was created by a 31-year-old man named
David Roberts. “Keeping chickens is becoming
more and more popular with a growing number of people
looking to escape the busy city life
and move out in the country with a little bit of land,” said Mr. Roberts.
“But if people go away on holiday, no one
looks after the chickens. That’s why I opened the hotel to encourage people to raise their own chicken,”
he explained.
According to Mr. Roberts, the hotel was fully booked over Christmas
time. He built the chicken coops himself and
each coop in the Chicken Hotel holds up to 8 chickens. The
hotel offers buffet breakfast,
lunch, and dinner for its chicken guests in open-air. Guests are allowed
to roam around the hotel grounds
all day, before being gathered
to roost at night. What an interesting
