often, too. Sometimes she perms her hair or just cuts it. Many young women
also dye their hair to different
colors. In Britain, not only women but also dogs are groomed! If you visit the
country, you can see many fashionable dogs. The creative dog-grooming craze started in the U.S.
Now it is also popular in the UK.
Dog grooming is gaining huge popularity in Britain these days. Recently,
a dog salon owner named Louisa Tandy
even held the British Dog Creative Stylist of the Year Competition
in the city of Kent. Britain’s stylish dogs came to show off their beauty.
 There were
dogs with many different colors - from red to yellow. Their owners
dyed their fur with washable vegetable dyes.
The competition is strictly organized to ensure that no dog is harmed
in the process of changing
their appearances. This year’s
winner was a dog that looked like a red dragon.
“The idea of the competition is to unleash people’s creativity
and have a lot of fun with their dogs,” explained Louisa. “The dogs
are thrilled with all the attention they get. At the
end of the day, they are returned to their doggie origins.” |
