Picasso is one of the most famous artists in the world. His unique style of painting made him very famous. He is considered to be the most important artist of the 20th Century. He experimented with a wide range of styles and themes throughout his career. This week, let's meet the great artist Pablo Picasso!

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Spain. His father was an art teacher. Picasso began to draw at an early age. Picasso studied art with his father. His father quickly recognized that his child was good at painting. Later, Picasso studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in La Coruna, where his father taught. In 1895, his family moved to Barcelona. Picasso studied in Barcelona at La Lonja, the academy of fine arts. Picasso's first exhibition took place in Barcelona in 1900.
In fall of 1900, Picasso went to Paris. After he visited there, he moved back and forth between France and Spain until 1904. He settled in Paris in April, 1904. He lived most of his life in France. In Paris, he experimented with a number of modern artistic styles.

Picasso worked as an artist for about 70 years. His painting called Guernica (1937) is thought to be one of Picasso's greatest works. In the painting, he captured the horror of the bombing of the Basque town of Guernica, which killed many innocent people during the Spanish Civil War½ºÆäÀÎ ³»¶õ.

By the end of World War II, Picasso had become a world-famous artist. As a highly productive artist, he created a large number of works during his lifetime. Besides painting, he made sculptures, etchings, and many different types of prints.

From the late 1940s, he lived in the south of France. In 1961, the artist married Jacqueline Roque, and they moved to Mougins. There, Picasso continued his work in painting, drawing, prints, ceramics, and sculpture until his death on April 8, 1973. Many people still remember him. And Picasso's work is in many major museums around the world including the Louvre in Paris.
