Today, many people all over the world keep pet cats at home. Cats make good pets because they don¡¯t make loud noises like dogs. But how about keeping big cats such as lions and tigers at home? It seems impossible to keep them as pets, doesn¡¯t it?
To our surprise, however, a German animal lover keeps lions, tigers, and panthers at home! Her name is Regina Hoffmann, but she is better known as the ¡®Lion Queen.¡¯ So far, the 53-year-old animal lover brought up 50 big cats in her home! ¡°I love animals, including wild ones,¡± she said. If baby animals are rejected by their mothers at a safari park in Hodenhagen, Germany, she always volunteered to look after the beasts.

¡°I take them home and hand-raise them until they are strong enough to return to their homes in the safari park,¡± she explained. According to her, big cats are no different to domesticated pet cats, despite the fact that they are wild animals. ¡°Big cats such as lions and tigers have a reputation as natural-born killers.
However, just like normal cats, they are playful. They even meow when they want something from me,¡± she said. ¡°The only difference is that keeping them is very expensive than normal cats because they eat up to six kilograms of raw meat each every day!¡± I guess keeping a lion or a tiger as a pet takes a lot of courage as well as a lot of money!
