Nowadays, people don¡¯t write letters on paper often. Instead, they usually send emails or text messages. However, receiving a handwritten letter feels great - especially when it is a love letter. Recently, a very special love letter arrived in the mailroom at the California University of Pennsylvania in the U.S. The letter was written by a girl named Vonnie. She wrote the love letter to a student named Clark Moore. Similar to common love letters, she wrote at the end of the letter: ¡°I still miss you as much as ever and love you a thousand times more. Please write me real soon.¡± To our surprise, the tender letter was written in 1958! No one knows why it was delivered 53 years late.

¡°The letter had been addressed to Mr. Clark Moore. Back then, he was a junior at the university, which was known at the time as California State Teachers College,¡± said the university¡¯s spokeswoman Christine Kindl. ¡°The letter, sent from Pittsburgh and postmarked February 20, 1958, arrived in the mailroom two weeks ago. No one here has any idea why it was delayed.¡±
Now, the university officials are searching for Mr. Moore. According to Ms. Kindl, he is about 70 years old now and he is living in another state. The university hopes to deliver the letter to Mr. Moore soon. He will be very surprised to receive a love letter from the past!
