Potter has fans all around the world. The boy wizard is loved not only
by children but also adults alike. His fans even competed
with each other to see who is the biggest fan. They held an online contest last year. Recently, the world’s biggest
Harry Potter fan was revealed. A 22-year-old American college student named Steve
Petrick from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
has won the title of “World’s Biggest Harry Potter Fan.”
His love of Harry Potter started when he was 11 years old. At the
time, he failed English class and his parents banned
him from playing outside. So he started reading
books in his room and the books were J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
Soon, Steve got hooked on
the wonderful world of Harry Potter. Since then, he read each
of the seven books in the series over 100 times!
In addition, he spent the
last 12 years collecting all kinds of memorabilia related to Harry Potter series.
He spent around $13,000 on his collection. His room is literally a mini Harry Potter
museum. This is not all.
The world’s biggest Harry Potter fan also cuts and dyes his hair in
the style of his favorite hero every time a new movie or
book is released. During the online competition, he videotaped his room to show
all the Harry Potter stuff he has and won the
title. “I will be a fan even after Harry Potter’s popularity wears off. Harry
Potter is my hero forever!” said Steve. |
