Save
the Bear!
A
wild bear living in England
recently was in big trouble.
The bear was crossing the road on a bridge, and a car was speeding towards him. The driver of the car was paying
attention to the road, and didn't know there was a bear ahead of him.
The bear was shocked, and decided to jump off the bridge. Luckily, as the bear fell
below the bridge, it used
its front paws to hang on to the edge. After
the careless driver drove away,
no one knew there was a bear hanging on the bridge. For close to 24 hours, the bear
was hanging for its life. The bear was found by a person who was taking
a walk below the bridge.
When the emergency crew arrived at
the scene, the bear looked very tired. A huge net was placed below the
bridge. And large sticks were used to drop the bear safely to the net. This is
one lucky bear that fought hard for its life!
I Don't Want to Chase Mice!
Have
you ever seen an episode of a cartoon series called Tom and Jerry? The
cartoon is about a cat named Tom doing everything he can to catch a mouse called Jerry.
We normally think that a cat
loves to chase and catch mice. Well,
in reality, that is what
normal cats do. Normal cats
will run and jump to catch a mouse. But a cat named Lilly in England
doesn't enjoy running after a mouse.
Take a look at this picture.
A small mouse is playing right in front of Lilly's claws. The owner of this cat says that
Lilly has a very unique character, and she sometimes even plays with
a mouse. I guess the eight-year-old house cat thinks of a mouse as
a playmate. Lilly is one amazing, or perhaps weird cat.
The Largest Swimming Pool in the World
Yeah,
the hot summer is gone now. And we will have to wait for another year to
play in the water.
Well, you might want to visit Chile next year for your summer vacation. The largest swimming pool in the world
has opened in a resort in Chile. Believe
it or not, the pool is about one kilometer long and the deepest point is about 35 meters
in depth! Take a look at the pictures!
This big swimming pool holds about 2.5 million liters
of water. It sure isn't the regular pool you can find
at water parks in Korea.
The swimming pool is so big that you can surf, go on a yacht and even go scuba diving! Simply put, you can enjoy
every water sport you know.
Wow! A swimming pool that is a size of a small lake! This is the place I
want to spend my summer vacation next year! |
