Obesity is a serious problem in many countries all over the world. In fact, a growing number of people are suffering from obesity-related diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Surprisingly, many pets are obese these days as well. This is because pet owners feed their animal friends the wrong kind of foods.

Many British people have unhealthy eating habits. As a result, their pets also have unhealthy eating habits. In fact, nearly six million cats and dogs in Britain are obese. These animals suffer from health problems and have a lower life expectancy than healthy pets.

A survey of 30,000 animals between 2006 and 2010 showed that the number of overweight animals rose by 10 percent.
About 90 percent of dog owners fed their pets fattening treats such as cheese, cakes, biscuits, toast and fast food. Gaining weight can lead to a number of serious health conditions.

However, many pet owners are not aware of the fact that their pets are overweight.

If you keep a pet at home, don¡¯t feed it unhealthy food. You may think that giving your pet delicious treats is love. But it is actually very bad for your pet¡¯s health. If you want your pet to live a long, happy life with you, take good care of it!
