However, if you visit Japan, you can taste a whole variety of strange
ice cream flavors. Recently, an ice cream shop owner named Kaneko
Kaoki in Fukuoka invented a very unique flavor. Look at the picture.
The ice cream is black in color! No, it’s not a dark chocolate flavor.
To our surprise, it is charcoal flavor! It was made with real edible
charcoal.
It doesn’t look very tasty. Also, your mouth and lips will turn black
when eating it. However, it is gaining huge popularity in Japan! According
to Ms. Naoki, she sells more than 400 charcoal ice cream cones a day.
So, why did she create this strange ice cream flavor? “Fukuoka used
to be famous for its coal mines in the past. In memory of the past,
I’ve decided to create charcoal ice cream,” she explained. “I’m glad
that my new ice cream is loved by so many people!” If you have a chance
