In the fall, you can hear crickets singing. Crickets are wonderful singers. But did you know that they are also delicious? These days in Australia, more and more people are going crazy about eating crickets and other bugs!

Recently, a special bug shop opened in Sydney. The shop sells all kinds of delicious bug snacks. You can buy a packet of chocolate-covered bugs, chocolate-chip mealworms or cricket lollipops.

The shop¡¯s owner, Skye Blackburn, says edible bugs are good for your health. ¡°Crickets are high in calcium, termites are high in iron, and silk worms have special amino acid and good fats in them,¡± she said. ¡°Most importantly, these bugs are low in fat! So you can use them like meat.
If you put crickets into a hot dish like curry, they make your curry taste a lot better,¡± she added.
Interestingly, bug snacks are gaining popularity in Australia. Blackburn sells about 1,000 lollipops a week. She also has about 100 regular customers who buy raw insects as part of their daily diet. ¡°More and more people come to my shop to buy bug gift packs for special occasions such as birthdays and even for Father¡¯s Day,¡± said Blackburn. If you have a chance to visit Sydney, why don¡¯t you stop by the bug shop and try one of the bug candies? It may look strange, but it can be very good for your health!
