The weather is getting colder and soon it will be December. We will celebrate New Year¡¯s Day in about a month and a half. The year 2012 is the year of the dragon. Are you ready to celebrate the new year? Many Chinese people are already very excited. This is because in China, the dragon is a symbol.
In order to welcome the upcoming year, a Taiwanese artist named Chen Forng-shean created something very special. Recently, he unveiled his miniature dragon sculpture to the public. The tiny artwork was displayed on top of a coin!

So, can you guess how small it is? Here¡¯s a hint: you need a magnifying glass to see the miniature sculpture! This is because it is only 1.27 centimeters long. it is the smallest dragon sculpture in the world! It took the 56-year-old miniature artist three months to make the special dragon.
¡°The hardest part about making this dragon was the sculpting for the limbs and the claws,¡± he said. ¡°These are the most delicate parts. Also, it was very difficult to make its open jaw and the very thin whiskers.¡±
If you have a chance to visit Taiwan next year, why don¡¯t you go see the special dragon to celebrate the year of the dragon?
