Scientists Find an Earth-like Planet    [16-12-2011] Earth is our home, and we live with many animals and plants. Recently, the world population reached 7 billion. Many people are worried because we won’t have enough space and food. Fortunately, scientists at NASA recently discovered an Earth-like planet outside our solar system. The planet is called “Kepler 22b.” It is 600 light years away. The planet contains both land and water. It also has a similar temperature to Earth's at around 22 degrees Celsius. According to NASA, it can be a potential home for mankind! “We are very happy and excited to unveil the discovery of the new planet,” said William Borucki at NASA. “It is 2.4 times the size of Earth. We are certain that the new planet is in the habitable zone and has a nice temperature,” he added.
