Eagles
are large, powerful birds. Eagles have many amazing abilities. They
have excellent eyesight and strong hooked beaks and talons. Some eagles
can hunt big mammals such as foxes, young deer, and goats! And an

There are over 60 different species of eagle in the world. They are
usually found in Germany, Mexico, Egypt, Poland, and Austria. All
eagles are famous for their excellent eyesight. There are about 7,000
feathers on an eagle.

Eagles build their nests on high cliffs or in tall trees near rivers
or coasts. They usually use the same nests year after year. When a
pair of eagles build their nest for the first time, sometimes it can
take as long as six weeks. The heaviest nest ever found is one ton!
Bald eagles aren¡¯t actually bald. Bald Eagles are the national symbol
of the United States. They weigh about five kilograms. The female
bald eagle is about 90 centimeters tall,
slightly larger than the
male. Bald Eagles help humans by catching rodents and rabbits that
