Many students have busy schedules. They study hard all day long. They go to school early in the morning. They learn many different subjects at school.
After school, many students learn extra subjects such as English, math, or music. However, it is also important to take good care of yourself.
If you want to improve your test scores, exercise every day!

As a student, your job is to study. However, if you are not healthy, you cannot do well at school. Therefore, you should eat healthy foods and exercise regularly. According to a new study, regular exercise can also help you improve your test scores!

American researchers recently found that regular exercise can significantly improve the students¡¯ academic ability of a student by increasing oxygen flow to the brain.

¡°Schoolchildren should spend at least an hour a day doing active physical exercise to boost their exam results and cut obesity rates,¡± said Dr. Aric Sigman, who led the study.

The new study showed that physically fit elementary school students are more likely to get good test scores than less fit classmates. ¡°Physical activity is a key to reducing children¡¯s waist size while increasing their brain size,¡± said Dr. Sigman. ¡°Therefore, children have to spend at least an hour a day doing some form of physical activity.¡±

The study compared brain capacity and test scores among two groups of 9 and 10-year-olds. One group had higher levels of physical fitness than the other. The findings showed that fitter children had a 12 percent larger brain capacity than those who were overweight. Another study found those who were fit were more likely to have a high IQ.

According to Dr. Sigman, physical activity is thought to help a child¡¯s cognitive processing by increasing blood and oxygen flow to the brain. ¡°All schools should think of ways to increase physical activities to help their students do better at school,¡± he said.
