Think about the things a four-year-old girl can do. You may not think that there are many things she can do. Surprisingly, however, a girl named Heidi Hankins from England can read 30 books in about an hour!
That¡¯s not all. She can also recite poems, write in sentences, and add and subtract. Recently, this amazing girl became a member of Mensa, the high IQ society. The average IQ score for an adult is 100. Usually, gifted people¡¯s average IQ is around 130. Surprisingly, Heidi¡¯s IQ is 159! The world-famous physicist Stephen Hawking has an IQ of 160. He is also a member of Mensa.

According to Heidi¡¯s parents, she started reading books for seven-year-olds when she was just two. She could also count to 40 by age two, and draw pictures of people. ¡°She was making noises and trying to talk since she was born. By age one, her vocabulary was quite good,¡± explained her father Matthew.
¡°I was curious about her IQ and the results were so surprising. We are really proud of her.¡± You may think Heidi must be special in many ways. But she is just a little girl who likes her Barbie dolls and Lego. Let¡¯s hope Heidi will grow up to be a great person who makes a difference in the world!
