World’s Tallest Human Tower Built in New York    [06-07-2012] Do you remember what happened on September 11, 2001- It was a very sad day. The twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City were attacked by terrorists. Many people lost their lives and the towers were destroyed completely. Now the site is called ‘Ground Zero.’ New York City is planning to build a new World Trade Center complex. In order to honor the rebuilding of the iconic tower, the world’s tallest human tower was built in the city last week! A team from Spain built the amazing human pyramid called a “castell.” What’s more amazing about the human tower is that it was build on a skyscraper rooftop in Manhattan. The 150-member team formed a wedding cake-shaped human tower of eight tiers without using any ladders or nets!
