 Recently,
two high school students surprised the world by sending a Lego man
into space. And last week, a little boy from California and his father
surprised the world again.
They sent a toy train into space!
Ron Fugelseth and his four-year-old son Jayden became famous on the Internet after
they launched the little boy’s toy train into the stratosphere. The train is
called Stanley and it is Jayden’s favorite toy.
 “I
was inspired to launch my son’s favorite toy after seeing a similar video using a Lego
figure,” said Ron. “I thought
if two high school kids can send a Lego man to space, then I, as a
grown man, can make Stanley
go into space.”
He used a weather balloon to send Stanley
into space. He also attached a camera to record
its journey. The project called
“A Toy Train in Space” was successful! Although Ron lost contact with
the train shortly after launch, it
started working again magically. “I’m sure Stanley
had a great time in space!” said Ron. What a special journey! |
